STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: Licensing reviewed three staff files and observed that record of a criminal record check (CRC) clearance letter was missing for one staff. On file was a CRC from a different province. A staff member said they will ensure the application is submitted by the end of the day.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all person's complete their CRC through the Criminal Record Review Program prior to employment.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed three staff files and observed that record of certificate validation was missing for one staff.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure certificates are verified.
