Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One of the display reach-in coolers beside the seafood department was noted with an ambient temperature of 11.0C over a period of time. Cold potentially hazardous food items in this unit were noted being held over 4.0C.
Corrective Action(s): **Issue corrected during the inspection** The following food were noted being held from 8.8C - 11.5C (picture evidence were collected): 16 trays of raw chicken, and packages of marinated beef bulgogi. All 19 packages were discarded by the staff during the inspection, bleach solution was added to the discarded meat.

Observation: Lots of mouse droppings noted throughout the back room area, along the wall, and in the produce area below the prep tables.
Corrective Action(s): Clean, sweep and sanitize ALL areas noted with mouse droppings. Continue to work with your pest control company in controling pest issue at the facility.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1. White organic buildup noted on the shelves and shelf liners where the miso paste are being cold held for customers.
2. Organic buildup noted on the head of the dish sink sprayer in the seafood department.
3. Heavy dust buildup noted by the fan units in the second walk-in cooler and produce walk-in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the abovementioned areas and maintain in a sanitary condition at all time after cleaning.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One of the display reach-in coolers beside the seafood department was noted with an ambient temperature of 11.0C over a period of time.
Corrective Action(s): All cold potentially hazardous food products were discarded or moved to another functioning refrigeration unit during the inspection. Do not use this cooler unit until it has been serviced and able to maintain at 4C or below.
**Issue was later resolved when the final inspection report was reviewed** Cooler unit's temperature decreased and was noted with an ambient temperature of 2.0C.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted today:
- Handwash stations in the meat, seafood and produce departments and staff washrooms accessible, equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel.
- All paper towel must be installed in the paper towel dispensers and located within close proximity to the handwash stations.
- All refrigeration units (except for the one display cooler by the seafood department) were noted at 4C or below.
- All freezer units were noted at -18C or below.
- Bleach sanitizer spray bottles were available throughout each departments. 200 PPM chlorine residual noted in all spray bottles.
- However, some spray bottles were not functioning properly. Manager had staff changed the bottle to ones that could actually spray out the sanitizer during the inspection.
- General storage in the walk-in units were following proper storage practice and most food were stored off the floor.
- Facility has a contractor pest control company that comes in once a week.
