Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation: Licensing observed that the Date of enrollment was missing on one of the 5 files reveiwed.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all the information is completed on the registration forms.

Summary of Inspection:
At the inspection dated November 17, 2023 there were 5 children. Licensing met with licensee and her husband. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.

The following was discussed or education provided:
To take First Aid Kit and Emergency Permission Cards with you when going outdoors always as a best practice.
Name of the walk in clinic to be added if family does not have access to doctor
Ensure that the parents are signing the registration form if the informationis typed and provided.
