Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #KINE-BA9QS9 have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: A review of 3 children's files found that one file was missing immunization status
Corrective Action(s): Ensure children's files are complete

Comments

At the inspection dated March 10, 2020 there were 11 children and 4 staff present. This facility has 13 children currently registered.
At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. Actions required by the licensee included here. As part of this routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

A discussion was had regarding the Fraser Health info most recently distributed re: 2019-nCoV Coronavirus. The Licensing officer will provide contact info to Licensee for Communicable Disease Health Nurses for any questions that might come up regarding this current outbreak.
