Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated Dec. 12, 2023 there were 19 children and 3 staff present. The manager was also on-site and assisted with the inspection. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. This report was reviewed with the facility manager during the inspection. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The following recommendations/discussions were provided: - Continue hand hygiene procedures - System for children when absent - Continue to check the expiry date of items in the emergency supplies kit A copy of this report was sent to the facility.
