Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: there are two areas that create a tripping area and or a strangulation concern , the carpet and the electrical cord
Corrective Action(s): please ensure these areas are addressed.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11180 - CCLR s.16(4)(a) - A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (a) suitable for the age and development of the children.
Observation: there are several areas outside that are in poor repair, wood is rotting and presents a possible hazard, the bench around the table the bench under the gazebo, the ladder to the slide and there are two posts at the top of the walkway that are unsafe
Corrective Action(s): please ensure these areas are repaired or replaced as required.
