Observed Violations
NUTRITION AND FOOD SERVICES: 17120 - CCLR s.48(6) - A licensee must make available to parents information on the food and drink given to children.
Observation: Licensing discussed how parents are notified of the food that the children are offered. The staff stated that it is recorded on the sign in sheet or on the journal. However when Licensing reviewed the snack section, it was not recorded.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that parents/guardians are notified of any food or drink given to children.
Date to be Corrected: 25 Nov 2016

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation: Licensing reviewed 7 children's files and it was found that 1 was missing the date of enrolment.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that a record of the date the child is enrolled in the community care facility is kept.
Date to be Corrected: 9 Dec 2016

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: Licensing reviewed the sign in and out sheet. There was only 1 day available to view. The staff present did not know where the previous days were kept. Licensing observed that the children were inconsistently recorded as time of arrival/departure and whether they were absent.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that the attendance record is consistently marked with information on arrival/departure times and whether a child is absent.
Date to be Corrected: 25 Nov 2016
