Comments
The General Manager submitted an action plan to address the items from the routine inspection report. The plan with timelines is noted and all items were discussed with the General Manager.
Nutrition education and participation records:
- Currently the facility is recruiting for a Support Services Manager and Dietitian and once these staff are in-place the nutrition education piece will be commencing. Please keep the writer updated as things progress with nutrition education. The writer was able to see the education attendance record for the education completed on "Dining Room Etiquette" dated December 11, 2019 completed by the Dietitian at the time.
Elevators:
- The General Manager will submit a health and safety plan once it is known when the elevators will be upgraded. Please submit the health and safety plan for the writer's review and approval before any work starts.
Stairwell:
- During the routine inspection the Maintenance staff showed the writer one stairwell that has been reassessed to be upgraded to ensure the stairs can accomodate a device to be used in case of an emergency to evacuate persons in care. This is still a work in progress and please keep the writer updated on this and if it will affect the day to day operation and submit a health and safety plan accordingly.
Thank you for all the work that has been done to date and that continues to be completed which is truly appreciated. If there are any questions related to this follow-up inspection report, please contact your Licensing Officer.
