Observation: Staff indicated that they are re-packaging scallops and prawns by opening a large package of them, physically handling them and repackaging them in a vaccum sealed packaged.
Corrective Action(s): The original approval was for re-packaging of already packaged seafood. currently, all of the fish fillets are packaged in the processor facility (not inspected by Fraser Health). You can package the scallops and prawns at the processing facility. However, if you want to package them in your facility, then you will need a dedicated handwash station (which cannot be the same as the mop sink or the handwash station in the washroom). Spoke with owner over phone who said that staff are not to be handling any raw seafood.

As discussed above: Facility is approved to re-package already packaged seafood. There is a retail area and a warehouse/packaging area. No handling of raw seafood is permitted (see above violation).
