PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: Licensing observed that the toilet seat still has chips on the seat. Licensing provided education on the importance of having equipment and fixtures in the care facility that are clean and in good repair to eliminate the spreading and build up of bacteria and germs.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the care facility are clean and in good repair.

Observation: Licensing measured the water temperature in the bathroom at 52.1 degrees Celsius.
This is a repeat contravention.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that heated water accessible to children is no more than 49 degrees Celsius.

Observation: Licensing observed that there is no emergency bag/kit in place. Licensing provided education on the intent of the regulations on the responsibility of the Licensee providing an emergency kit.
