Comments

A follow-up inspection (LQUN-C3SMP5) was conducted, the following observations were made:
- The kitchen floor was pressure washed by a contract company. All food and water found under shelves and sinks have been removed. The floor is clean and minimal stains found.
- More staff have been assigned to help clean the kitchen on a daily basis.
- More tin boxes (catch-all-traps) have been placed throughout the kitchen by the facility staff (not pest control company). Some of them have been incorrectly placed and the traps will not attract the rodents.
- A dead mouse was found in one of the tin boxes. Ensure all traps are checked every morning and captured pests are disposed of immediately.
- The floor under the dishwashing sinks, dishwasher and dish-pit areas is clean and dry. Increased mopping throughout the day has been occurring.
- No leaking pipes under the dishwashing areas was found. All the pipes were clean and absent of food debris and water.
- Less droppings found along the base of walls. Head chef states he has noticed less droppings.
- Dry storage room floors, under the racks, are cleaner.
- Landscapers will be slowly trimming bushes up from the ground and away from the building.
- Door sweeps have been ordered for doors that have gaps at their base.
- Facility manager has spoken to professional pest company and requested another technician or manager visit the site to get a fresh perspective on the problem. No response received from the pest company yet.

- Improvement still needed in the following areas:
Still seeing debris around the legs of the storage racks, in the dry storage room. Detailed cleaning of these areas need to occur every day.
Debris found beneath the lowest metal shelf (in the dry storage room) that has bent under heavy weight. Staff agreed to remove the shelf and clean the floor under the shelf.
Droppings found on the floor around the water filter, under the coffee making station. Clean this area up every day and place traps in the area. Mention this high activity area to your pest technician. Inspect to see if there are holes or openings in the walls, if so, block them.
Droppings found in the cupboard below the hand washing sink (beside the coffee making station). Remove everything from the cupboard and thoroughly clean this area. Store minimal items in the cupboard until the rodent problem is resolved. This area must be cleaned and monitored for droppings every day. Place traps in the this area. Mention this high activity area to your pest technician. Inspect to see if there are holes or openings in the walls, if so, block them.
- Discussed inspection results with the General Manager and Head Chef. No signatures obtained due to the pandemic.
