Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The sanitizer level in the solutions under the espresso machine and the red bucket under the sink in the front service area was inadequate. The timer used to indicate when the solutions should be changed had not been activated.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the sanitizer solutions are being refreshed regularly and that the timer is in use as per your policy.

-Dishwasher rinse temperature is at 78 degC at plate level
-Temperature log's being maintained
-Filters were last changed in May of this year. Filter change date is posted on the filter unit
-Hand wash sinks are fully equipped
-200ppm Quats is being used to sanitizer surfaces
-A smoking complaint was received for this location. As per the New Westminster City Smoking bylaw, smoking is not permitted within 7.5 meters of a doorway/window that opens. The complainant indicated that a patron of Starbucks was sitting at the table provided outside the premise and smoking, clearly within the 7.5 meters. He did not see any signage on the premise window to indicate otherwise. During the site visit it was noted that there are no signs detailing the distance requirements. A sticker indicating the same was provided to the store manager. The manager did place the sticker by front doors during the inspection.
