- General sanitation is satisfactory.
- Hand sinks supplied with liquid soap and single use paper towels; hot/cold running water.
- Pests program in place. Traps are set.
- Walk-in freezer for finished product - satisfactory.
- The ice production is fully automated wishing a closed system.
- Facility uses municipal water supply, the water supply is filtered using one micron filter before it is fed to the ice making system.
Note: UV system has been disconnected.
- Water sample is tested once a month and ice samples tested once a week at IG MicroMed Lab in Richmond.
- Ice blocks are made by pressing the ice cubes.
- Pre and post shift cleaning and sanitation is conducted using Zepp (quat base sanitizer).
Note: A metal detector is not in use now.
