Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Did not detect any sanitizer is spray bottle labelled with bleach dilution instructions.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure sanitizer is made properly as per dilution instructions on the bottle and is changed as needed to maintain minimum concentrations.

Observation: Stock of paper towel fell out of paper towel dispenser at time of inspection when one piece of paper towel was pulled out of dispenser.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure paper towel and the paper towel dispenser is of compatible so that paper towel can be dispensed properly.

Comments

- Hand wash stations had soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water. See violation code 307 re: paper towel in dispenser.
- All coolers 4C or less (display case, sandwich prep, undercounter..etc)
- Chest freezer -18C
- Premises does not do any hot holding of foods. No hot holding equipment available. Soups appear to have been removed from them menu.
- Bleach available on site. See violation code 302 re: sanitizer solution
- Good general sanitation. No obvious signs of pest activity.
- Meat slicer not on site at time of inspection. Deli meats/sandwiches obtained from approved sources. Staff member advised that they will be brining the meat slicer back. Ensure meat slicer is taken a part and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use or minimum once every 4 hours.
- Ice machine appeared clean with scoop for ice stored in a separate container/holder.
- High temperature dish washer achieved 71.3C (with min/max probe thermometer)
- Staff member advised that premises may be under new ownership soon. Ensure new operator's apply for a business licence with the City of Burnaby and a Health Permit to Operate with the Burnaby Health Protection Office at Fraser Health.
