Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions

Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SCLY-ANSUC5 have been corrected.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection At the inspection dated Dec 18, 2018 there were 16 children and 2 facility staff present.2 additional staff from Mission Association for Community Living ( MACAL )were also present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified therefore a written response is not required. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The following education/recommendations and resources were provided: Ø Active Supervision Ø Lead in the Water Ø Reportable Incident Bulletin ( was on file at the facility and included staff training related to reporting ) Ø Reportable incident forms - are maintained at head office and supplied as needed.
