Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Liquid soap dispenser in staff washroom was empty at the time of the inspection. Operator replaced empty bottle with a new one.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure liquid soap is always present for handwashing at the handwashing sink.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Open package of chemical poison/bait for rodents was noted on shelving where bags of flour are stored in store area. This is an unacceptable practice. Baits are not to be used inside food premises. Bait could contaminate food products or customers could come into contact with product. Operator discarded package at the time of the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Remove any additional packages that may be present and ensure poison/baits are never used inside the food premises.

Observation: Office and back storage area are very cluttered with boxes/bags of food products
Corrective Action(s): These areas require organization and for foods to be stored on adequate shelving to ensure rodent harbourage areas are not created. Correction date: June 15/16

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Food debris and dirt is noted on the floor especially in the hard to reach areas such as along the sides of walls, behind equipment, under bulk food bins and underneath milk crates (which are being used to store food items off the floor)
Corrective Action(s): Thoroughly clean the floor in the entire premises to remove all dirt and debris. Correction date: June 15/16

No signs of pest activity were noted at the time of the inspection. Operator has contract with pest control company. Traps are present for monitoring.

Sanitizer (>100ppm chlorine) was present in a spray bottle for sanitizing produce prep area/sink.
