Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handsink in the back area near the walk-in-cooler and handsink in the staff washroom lacked paper towels.
Corrective Action(s): Staff member resupplied paper towels at these handsinks.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Top part of the ice machine's interior had brownish debris present on it. Other surfaces inside the ice machine were in a clean condition.
Corrective Action(s): Staff member sanitized the top surface with single use paper towels during the inspection. Make sure the ice is drained and the ice machine is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized as per manufacturer's specifications to maintain it in a clean condition and prevent buildup (e.g. every 2 week to monthly basis).

Comments

Both handsinks in the kitchen and handsink at the bar were adequately supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Walk-in-cooler and other coolers were at or below 4 degrees C.
Freezer temperatures were satisfactory.
No hot-holding was occurring at the time of inspection.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in the bucket with a wiping cloth, the spray bottle, and from the dispenser.
Dishwasher final rinse chlorine sanitizer residual was at least 50 ppm at the plate.
Dishwasher log was being maintained.
No signs of recent pest activity was evident at the time of inspection.
Food handler on-site had a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate.
*The new Manager at this location stated over phone that they have completed FOODSAFE Level 1 in the past. It was discussed that FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates issued before July 29, 2013 expired on July 29, 2018 and certificates issued past July 29, 2013 would expire 5 years from the issuance date as stated on the certificates. Please email the district Environmental Health Officer of Fraser Health a copy of the valid FOODSAFE Level 1/equivalent course certificate of the Manager for verification and record keeping purposes.
