Observation: Rodent droppings were observed in an empty cabinet in the kitchen and on the floor near a shelving unit in the second storage room.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the above-noted areas to remove the rodent droppings. Monitor for signs of pest activity and continue with pest control measures:
-Pest control program to re-service traps.
-Sealing any potential entry points.
-Continuing with regular cleaning to prevent potential food/water sources for pests
-Preventing any potential harborage areas.

Comments

Kitchen:
Handsink was supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels.
Refrigeration unit was at or below 4 degrees C and it was equipped with a thermometer.
100-200 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available in a spray bottle.
Chlorine test strips were available.
Coordinator informed that they have recently replaced the previous dishwasher with a new dishwasher.
Residential Bosch dishwasher with a sanitizer cycle and a 3-compartment domestic sink were available.
Coordinator informed that two dishwashing loads are conducted per given day and they use the sanitizer cycle. Mostly snacks (such as sliced fruit, sliced vegetables, and yogurt) are served on-site and meals,such as pasta, are occasionally served according to the Coordinator.
Dry food was observed to be stored in covered pest proof containers in the kitchen.
Coordinator holds valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course training (expiration date: June 15, 2023). Reminder: Ensure to renew your FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent course training prior to the expiration date.

Second storage room:
Refrigeration unit was at or below 4 degrees C and it was equipped with a thermometer.
Freezer temperatures were satisfactory.
One refrigeration unit was not in use and it was unplugged.
