Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Facility had repackaged cake/bread at the cashier area. Unable to produce invoices for food items.
Corrective Action(s): All food items must be from approved sources. Invoices are required to verify the source of the food items. Items which are repackaged must have supplies contact information to allow for trace back of food items. Cake/bread was removed from the sale area at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Self-service candy was offered for sale at the front cash register and coffee dispenser had cups available for customer to use. These did not meet the self-service requirements under the Provincial Health Officer's Order
Corrective Action(s): Self-service stations must have signage reminding customers to wash or sanitize their hands prior to handling common touch surfaces and handwash station or hand sanitizer must be within easy reach. Signage must also remind customers to physically distance. Self-service candy was moved to the cashier area and coffee machine was closed off at the time of inspection.

Comments

-Both coolers containing milk were at 4C.
-Novelty freezer was at -18C.
-Facility is currently not using the soft service and beverage dispensing machines.
-Random selection of foods were within their best before dates.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Please contact the inspector if you have any questions or concerns.
-Signature not required due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

COVID-19:
-Workplace COVID-19 safety plan has not been completed. Facility has printed out the WorkSafeBC template. COVID-19 safety plan must be developed specifically for the facility.
-Maximum occupancy posted on the front entrance.
-Markers placed on the floor to allow for physical distancing.
-Hand sanitizer available at the cash register.
-Facility is adhering to the Provincial Health Officer's Order respecting face coverings.
