Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
- No sanitizer was available at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s):
- Sanitizer that measured 200ppm was made using bleach on site. Ensure meat cutting boards and processing equipment are sanitized after cleaning. Equip sanitizer spray bottles labelled "SANITIZER" at the processing area. Test strips are available.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
- Hot water knob was taped at the processing area handsink.
- Hot water was not coming out in staff washroom handsink.
Corrective Action(s):
- Manager stated both hot water access was disabled on purpose due to leak. Hot water is available at both handsinks. Do not turn off hot water valve. If the same violation is observed in the future, violation ticket will be issued. The knobs have to be tightened very hard to fully close the tap - repair/replace the handsink taps at both locations so knobs can be maneuvered easily with no leak occuring

Observation:
- Dust build up observed inside walk-in cooler.
- Mouldy surface on display coolers.
- Meat coolers are not in sanitary condition.
- Freezer windows not in sanitary condition.
- Small plastic cutting board used for vegetables are heavily stained/soiled.
Corrective Action(s):
- Clean areas noted above. Clean the fan inside the walk-in cooler as well. Replace the cutting board.

Comments

- Premises is a food store that sells produce and most grocery food items. The premises cuts/grinds and repackages various meats.
- All coolers at 4C or less.
- Freezers at -18C or less.
- Drain plugs available for each two compartment sink.
- Meat processing equipment (band saw and grinder) was in use at time of inspection. Staff stated they are dismantled & get cleaned every night after closing. Ensure to clean them every 4 hours or more often with sanitizer when in use continuously.
- Premises processing/repackaging area has been granted health approval to operate by previous inspector.
- Upstairs is an office space. No food stored in this area.
- Monthly pest control service by Kwality Pest Control. Recent report suggest bait replacement. Ensure there is no baiting inside the facility. Install more tin cat traps inside the facility.

** The counter top surface is disintegrating by the 2 compartment sink. Repair/replace the top.
