Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Ice machine contained debris inside it. The cover of the ice machine in addition to the inside of it requires cleaning.
Correction: Drain/empty the ice, clean and sanitize the ice machine as per manufacturer's instructions, and then discard the first batch of ice; Correct today. Do not use the ice for food/drinks preparation; Effective immediately.

Follow up inspection:
Ice machine was in a sanitary condition at the time of the follow up inspection (Code 301 from the routine inspection was corrected).
Rodent droppings were removed from the dry storage area.
Open bags of dry food were in covered containers with tight fitting lids.
Operator with valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate was present onsite.
Operator has a FOODSAFE Level 1 refresher course certificate that is valid until August 12, 2023.
Reminder: Make sure staff is scheduled so that at least one employee on shift on-site has a valid FOODSAFE Level 1/equivalent course certificate.
Handsink in the back area was not obstructed during the follow up inspection and was still adequately supplied.
