209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed two bags of broccoli and two buckets of onions under the hand washing sink in the kitchen and right next to a garbage can on the floor. Staff indicated these items was recently delivered in the morning of inspection and had no time to stored them away. Education provided that once delivery comes in, they need to stored away properly away from any potential contamination source.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to move them to an area where all foods are protected from contamination and off the floor. Operator moved the items at the time of inspection

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Observed minor grease and food debris build up under cooking equipment. Cardboard and newspaper was placed underneath the cooking equipment to collect dripping grease. Fan hood was quite greasy; paper towel was placed near the top of the fan hood to prevent dripping of grease. Fan hood cleaning is due in July 2022. Education provided that even before they come, the hood must be cleaned regularly.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to remove the newspaper and cardboard, perform regular cleaning underneath and behind cooking equipment. Fan hood must be cleaned also. Ensure to perform regular cleaning especially if it gets too greasy.
