Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Wall mounted vegetable cutter observed with dried food debris. Bacteria and pathogens can grow on food contact surfaces that are not adequately cleaned and sanitized.
Corrective Action(s): Staff began cleaning the wall mounted vegetable. Then the staff sanitized the equipment with 200 ppm chlorine solution.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Scoops (with no handles) were stored inside three dry food product containers. Scoops that are in contact with dry food product can contaminate and spread bacteria from food handlers to the dry food product.

Corrective Action(s): Staff removed the scoops from dry product containers. Reminded staff to keep scoops outside of the dry food product containers.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: 10+ rodent droppings were noted in the front bar area underneath the serving table. Rodents can contaminate food products with bacteria and viruses through their saliva, droppings, etc.
Corrective Action(s): Adequately clean all surface areas that were in contact with the rodent droppings. Sanitize area with a solution that contains 1 part unscented bleach with 10 parts water.

All freezers registered a temperature of <= - 18 deg C

Note: reminded staff that during cooling procedures, using smaller containers will help increase the rate of cooling

Handwashing sink was supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel
3-compartment sink available for manual warewashing
High temperature dishwasher registered a temperature >71 deg C on plate surface
Ice machine in satisfactory condition, scoop was stored outside
Minor grease build-up noted on the ventilation hood
Overall sanitation was satisfactory (one exception: see code 209)
