Introduction

An unscheduled follow-upinspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the inspection of the physical facility, it was observed that in the nap room 8 beds were set up for nap time. 4 of the beds were stacked one on top of each other touching and promoting cross contamination.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a safe and healthy environment is provided at all times while children are in attendance.

Comments

At the inspection dated June 10, 2022 there were 8 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Active Supervision
· Lead in the Water
