STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: Copy of Criminal Records Clearance was missing on one staff file.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure staff files are complete. Children cannot be left alone with a staff without having a valid CRC on file.
Date to be Corrected: Please provide a health and safety plan by September 5, 2019
STAFFING: 12160 - CCLR s.20(1) - The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation: Licensing observed that one person over the age of 12 did not have a Criminal Records Clearance.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that any person ordinarily present on the premise and is over 12 years old must have a criminal records clearance copy. Please provide a plan to ensure health and safety of children in care.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13010 - CCLR s.22(1)(a) - A licensee must have all of the following: (a) emergency exits and a fire drill system approved by a local assistant within the meaning of the Fire Services Act.
Observation: The fire extinguisher in the green room require recertification.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure emergency system is approved within the meaning of Fire Services Act.
