- Facility in EXCELLENT sanitary condition
- No evidence of pests
- Pest control program in place
- Handsinks adequately supplied
- Coolers achieving temperatures of less than or equal to 4 degrees Celsius
- Freezers achieving temperatures of less than or equal to -18 degrees Celsius
- One functional sink plugs available for use observed
- Back door closed during inspection
- Light covers in place
- Cooler handles and seals in good sanitary condition


NOTE: Facility is not being used consistently. Facility is currently rented out for groups. Groups bring in own dishes/serving ware and are responsible for own clean up. Facility used to employ a chef (prior to the pandemic) however due to operational challenges the facility has moved away from this model. Future of facility unknown at this point and to be determined by the City of Burnaby.

NOTE: Unable to inspect dishwasher, sanitizer and hot holding unit at time of inspection. *** Ensure directions for use of dishwasher is posted near dishwasher or included in a binder for operation of kitchen. As currently the facility is not used community centre staff are not used to using dishwasher daily nor are they trained on its operation. For Routine inspections the operation of the equipment needs to be inspected therefore an operations manual or posted instructions are recommended for the kitchen.
