Introduction

An unscheduled follow-up inspection to Routine Inspection # SMIA-BXFPH3 dated January 19, 2021 was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At this inspection there were six children and two staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. The following was discussed: · Storage of diaper changing mat · Minor incident records · Placement of outdoor play dome as per DLSOP-Safe spaces · Enclosure of outdoor play area · Annual servicing of Fire extinguisher The details of this report was discussed with the Manager and a copy was provided on Aug. 26, 2021. This report was written off-site at the Newport Health Protection Office and time spent includes report writing.
