304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: A few rodent droppings observed in one corner of dry storage room. However, no pest activity observed in the rest of the facility Corrective Action(s): - Regular cleaning is required to remove any new droppings. - Disinfect the area with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution. - Consult with your pest control company about the affected area. Routine inspection conducted. The kitchen was not in use at the time of inspection. Staff stated that it is used once in a week. Findings: - Temperature of walk in cooler at 4C - Chest freezer at -19C - Handwash sinks equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels. - High temp mechanical dishwasher used for warewashing and reached 76C on dish surface during rinse cycle. - 200ppm QUATS solution recorded in spray bottle. Bleach bottle also available onsite. - Food storage practices were good. Pest proof containers used for storage and food was properly covered and stored off the floor. - Staff has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate. - All equipment, kitchen hood vents and utensils maintained in good sanitary condition. - Huge improvement noted in terms of pest activity. - Pest Control company conducts biweekly checks. NOTE - Focus on regularly cleaning the small storage room for any food debris. Keep up the good work!
