Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer was not detected in one kitchen spray bottle labeled "sani water." Spray bottle was refilled from dispenser at time of inspection and measured at 200 ppm quats.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that sanitizer is maintained at the correct concentrations (quats - 200 ppm) for effective sanitizing of food contact surfaces. Test strips are available on site.

Observation: Hand washing station located in bar area lacks hot running water. Liquid hand soap and single use paper towels are provided.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that hot and cold running water are available at all hand washing stations, along with liquid hand soap and single use paper towels, to facilitate proper hand washing. Date to be corrected by: March 21, 2018.

Observation: Door seals are broken/peeling on the following cold holding units:
1. Chest freezer (kitchen)
2. 2-door under counter cooler (bar - juice storage)
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that new seals are provided for the above-noted units. Cracked or peeling door seals may trap food debris and allow cold air to escape. Date to be corrected by: March 23, 2018.

- Freezers at -18 degrees C or less (kitchen, basement)
- Hot holding internal temperatures at 60 degrees C or more
- Hand washing stations are unobstructed and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels *Exception: See Code 401
- Quaternary ammonium compounds (quats) sanitizer available in labeled spray bottles at 200 ppm *Exception: See Code 302
- Low temperature dishwasher measured 48 degrees C and 50 to 100 ppm chlorine in rinse residual at utensil surface
- Ice bin and machine in clean condition. Scoops stored safely. Discussed cleaning schedule.
- Premises is serviced by a pest control operator on a monthly basis. No evidence of recent pest activity observed at time of inspection.
- Temperature records reviewed at time of inspection. Note: Temperature checks for kitchen cold holding units only. Temperature checks should be maintained for other cold holding units as well (e.g. bar cooler - perishable foods stored). Some dates are missing.
- FOODSAFE requirements met at time of inspection
*Reminder:As of July 29, 2013, FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates issued in BC will expire after 5 years. Existing FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates are valid until July 29, 2018.
