Follow up inspection completed to verify outstanding violations have been corrected.
- Interior of ice machine was cleaned and Support Services Manager has reported cleaning frequency has been increased to 4 times per year. Ensure sanitation of interior of ice machine is monitored and cleaned more frequently is any mold/mildew or build up is noted.
- All items in walk-in cooler were stored in a manner to prevent contamination. ie. wrapped/covered.
- Sanitizer dispenser at 3 compartment sink and at entrance to kitchen near dishwasher were serviced/repaired. Both are dispensing sanitizer solution at 200ppm quats.
- Area of wall which was damaged has been fitted with FRP panel so that surface is smooth and washable.
- Shatterguards for light fixtures have been repaired/replaced.
- Area of floor behind ice machine, between equipment, along walls and under shelving has been cleaned to remove food debris, mouse droppings and grime. A small amount of mouse droppings were still present under 3 compartment sink. Ensure this area is cleaned and disinfected. A system needs to be implemented to ensure kitchen is regularly monitored for any further rodent activity (ie droppings) and when identified, droppings are to be removed and the area cleaned and disinfected. Areas where activity is noted should be reported to Pest Control Technician as additional measures may be needed in these areas. Additionally, a high level of sanitation must be maintained to prevent attraction of rodents.
- Pest Control company conducted assessment of kitchen area to identify and address any entrance points. Support Service Manager to provide copy of report to EHO. Ensure recommendations of Pest Control Technician are followed.
