Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
Found expired adult meal supplement drinks for sale in the Pharmacy area. Consumption of expired meal supplements could lead to malnutrition.
Corrective Action(s):
Remove the expired products from shelves and routinely check stock's expiration date. Staff removed the expired foods from the shelves during the inspection.

Observation:
The cooler storing prepackaged sandwiches was 9C. Coolers and the food shall be at 4C or colder to prevent the growth of pathogens and prevent spoliage of food.
Corrective Action(s):
Monitor the cooler's temperature as it could be in a defrost cycle. If the temperature has not decreased after 1 hour, discard all the food and do not use the cooler until it has been fixed and can maintain 4C or colder at all times.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers were 4C or colder; freezers were -18C or colder; thermometers present; and temperatures electronically monitored.
- Hand sinks in the Produce process area was stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Quats sanitizer used to wash cookware & utensils, and bulk bin items was 200ppm.
- A high temperature dishwasher is installed in the Produce processing area, but it isn't in working order yet. Prior to using the dishwasher, contact our office so that we can test the dishwasher to ensure it is working correctly.
- All foods stored 6" off the floor; foods stored in groups to prevent contamination; and non-foods (chemicals, stationary, toys, etc.) stored separated from food items.
- General sanitation is good. No signs of pests. A pests monitoring program is in place with Orkin.
