305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: There are some holes in walls that could allow the entry of pests. Observed old mice droppings around the hole.
Corrective Action(s): Repair or block all holes in walls and any openings around electrical outlets and around pipes. Clean up the droppings and sanitize all surfaces that have been in contact with the droppings.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Accumulation of food debris under equipment, sink, shelving racks. Built up food debris in the 2-comp dishwashing sink. This will attract pests.
Corrective Action(s): A thorough, deep cleaning of the premises from top to bottom is needed. Use hot water, soap/degreaser to remove food debris. Then spray with a sanitizer solution of bleach and hot water to kill germs.
1) Clean walls and floors behind and under equipment, sinks and shelving racks.
2) Move items away from walls so the walls & floors under and beneath can be cleaned.
3) Take all items off the floor and clean the floor and the floor along the base of walls.
4) Take all items off shelving racks and in cupboard so the shelves can be washed.
It is highly suggested a cleaning company is hired to complete the thorough cleaning.

Observation: The front hand washing sink and the 2-comp dishwashing sink has a leaking waste pipe. Dirty water is being caught in buckets. The pooling water will attract pests (flies and rodents).
Corrective Action(s): Repair or replace the waste pipe so it no longer leaks. Wash the waste pipes under the sink to remove the accumulated food and grease debris.

Observation: There is broken, unused or extra equipment, buckets, food containers, and/or items being stored in the premises. It is difficult to clean the premises thoroughly when there is so many items in the premises. As well, a cluttered premises allows hiding and harboring spots for pests.
Corrective Action(s): Throw away, sell and/or remove all broken, unused or extra items from the premises so it is less cluttered and easier to clean.
