Observation: Rodent droppings were found in the bulk area behind cabinets and on the floor in the corners beside the shelfs in the back storage area. No droppings were found near food storage. Some droppings were green due to the bait stations set up in the back storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Clean up the rodent droppings by soaking affected areas with 1:10 bleach solution for 5-10 minutes then wipe up with paper towels. Contact pest management personnel to control and monitor rodent activities.

Comments:
-Hand wash station in the front and in washrooms had hot & cold running water, liquid handsoap and single-use paper towels.
-Walk-in glass display cooler: 4C.
-Ice cream freezer: -21C.
-Thermometers were available in cold-holding units.
-Only pre packaged foods were available.
-Single-service utensils being used only.
-Slush dispensers were in sanitary condition.
-Coffee station was clean.
-Potentially hazardous foods were within their best before dates and stored in cooler.
-All foods were stored off the floor.
-Washrooms were in sanitary condition.

Note:
-Operator would like to install hot dog rolling grill and serve hot dogs. Please contact district health inspector to obtain health approval before serving any new food items.
