301 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Ice machine observed with mold build-up. Operator turned off ice machine during time of inspection to drain all the ice currently in the machine. A sign was posted on the machine stating it was not in use until it was cleaned and sanitized.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the ice machine before using it. Ensure the ice machine is maintained in a sanitary condition by washing and sanitizing the machine more frequently (as per manufacturer label) to prevent mold growth and contamination to ice which can cause foodborne illness.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handwashing station near water filling and handwashing station in staff washroom not adequately supplied with paper towel. Operator placed paper towel in both areas during time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all handsinks are equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water at all times to promote proper handwashing ettiquette prior to filling water bottles as well as for staff to maintain proper hygenic practices.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Multiple fruit flies observed on 3 of the taps (which are not in use right now) beside the handwashing station. Operator mentioned that garbage is sometimes stored in the same container as used caps which may be attracting the flies.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure the container used to store old caps (From customers) is discarded more often to prevent fruit flies from harbouring/breeding. Contact pest management company to set sticky traps. Send the pest reports to the inspector.

Observation: Many items observed on premises not required to be stored on premises including bicycles, large serving containers, cots. Storage of these items makes it difficult to clean hard to reach areas and can harbour potential pests.
Corrective Action(s): Remove all items not required to be stored on premises immediately to ensure the premises is maintained in a sanitary manner and to prevent pest harbourage.

Routine Inspection Conducted:

- Same treatment method in use. City water runs through carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, UV treatment and stored in reservoirs.
- New caps provided to customers.
- Bottles are washed using ozone rinser prior to filling
- Old bottles are accepted and are washed and sanitized prior to use.
- Ice machine scoop placed outside the ice machine - good!
- Annual water testing completed. Ensure to send the reports to the health inspector.

No signature required due to COVID-19. Inspection report will be emailed to the operator.
