Observation:
There are cracks and chips in plastic food containers and lids. Bacteria can live in the cracks and there is a possibility that pieces of plastic could breaks off and fall into food. This is a danger to customers.
Corrective Action(s):
Immediately throw away any damaged, cracked or chipped plastic food containers and lids. Purchase new food containers and lids to replace the discarded ones.

Observation:
The floor tiles, infront of the dishwasher, has very little grout between them. This is causing food and water to accumulate between the floor tiles, this will attract flies and other pests.
Corrective Action(s):
Repair the floor tile so the floor is smooth, level, durable, sealed and cleanable. Fill or replace the worn away grout between the floor tiles, and seal the grout.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers below 4C; freezers were -21C; hot holding units 60C or above; thermometers present; and temps recorded daily.
- High temperature dishwasher had rinse cycle temp of 72.2C at the plate's surface, as per max/min thermometer.
- Hand sinks stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Bleach present for sanitizing surfaces and cloths.
- FoodSafe certified staff present.
- All foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labeled; date coded; foods stored in groups with raw proteins separate from RTE foods; and all foods stored 6" off the floor on racks, shelves, and platforms.
- General sanitation level is good. Keep up the work.
- Exhaust hood and filters are clean. Last time it was professionally cleaned was July 2021, next scheduled cleaning is early 2022.
- No signs of pests.
- COVID-19 measures in place, such as: masks worn by staff and customers; signs posted on the door; social distancing markers on floor; and hand sanitizer available to customers and staff.
- Staff explained that the owner cancelled their liquor license. Will verify with LCBC. As such, PoV is not being checked for dine-in customers.
- Discussed inspection results with the staff, no signature obtained due to the pandemic.
