Observation: Rodent droppings observed on the bottom shelf of shelving unit in the back area. Staff stated that shelving unit was cleaned 2 days ago and pest control company installed new traps in this area.
Corrective Action(s): As it seems to be new rodent activity, notify your pest control company.
- Daily remove the rodent droppings and monitor for any new rodent actvity.
- Disinfect the area with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution. Use proper PPE during cleaning.
- Do not overstock the bottom shelving unit. Store as few items as possible.
- Keep the bins closed at all times to prevent entry of pest into flour/grain bins.
- Keep the back door closed at all times.

Comments

Follow up conducted to routine inspection (report #TPAU-D39T5W).

Findings:
- Low temp mechanical dishwasher checked and 50ppm chlorine residual recorded during rinse cycle.
- Large bottles of dishwasher chemicals in stock.
- Handwash sink in the back used for handwashing. Both hot and cold water supply, liquid soap and single use paper towels available.
- Scoops were not observed in the bins.
- Shelving unit in the back have been cleaned and re-organized.
