Routine Inspection of the Freeze Dry facility

The facility will freeze dry blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, corn, peas, carrots & yoghurt (in future)

Comprehensive HAACP/GMP & Sanitation Plan in place. The facility is also seeking SQF Qualification

All of the deficiencies identified in the previous inspection (Oct 4/2016) have been addressed & rectified

Stainless Steel baseboards have been installed in walk-in freezers

All holes/gaps/cracks have been filled

A new hand sink is now available in the processing room. Install wall-mounted paper towel dispenser at this sink
-Stainless Steel enclosure was built around the motor on conveyor belt

All coolers <4°C
All freezers <-18°C
Chemicals are labelled & are stored in a designated room
Pan washing operating above 71°C for sanitizing

FOLLOWING ITEMS REQUIRE YOUR ATTENTION

1) Ensure walk-in freezer #2 is cleaned & sealed to patch any holes
2) Insulating foam on compressor & hoses must be checked regularly as per the maintenance plans
3) Repair damaged wall outside chemical storage area
4) Please forward the updated Sanitation Plan, HACCP & Crisis Management Plan to our office
