Observation: Mouse droppings noted to the right of the back stand freezer and on the right nearest side of the shelving in the storage room. Pest control devices noted through out facility.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure these droppings and any others are cleaned up and areas noted. Monitor for further activity and report this to your pest control tech. Recommend regular deep clean of every section of the premise to identify any other pest activity (hole, damage, droppings).

Observation: Paper bag used for portioned out bread sticks in small freezer - bag appears to be falling apart.
Corrective Action(s): .Ensure all material in premises is smooth and durable. Paper bags are not suitable materials for items being stored in a freezer. Replace all paper bags with more durable material (plastic bags or hard plastic containers).

Observation: 1. Front freezer noted at -5 C and some food items are not frozen solid.Temp logs over last 3 days has been recorded at its coldest -5 C on two mornings, the rest of the temps are warmer.
2. Plastic insert lid noted with large cracks
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all products and equipment are in good working condition:
1. This freezer was noted on past routine inspection #VIPP-B8A2UN to be not functioning properly. Ensure this freezer is capable of freezing food items to -18 C or below. Repair/replace unit.
*Operator has indicated this freezer was repaired recently and is functioning better then before. The temp logs indicate that the freezer has not been able to close to -18 C as the coldest temp recorded is -5 C. This freezer should be re-evaluated as a functional freezer. Discuss options with service tech and inform Fraser Health of the decision.

2. Remove/replace all damaged inserts, lids and equipment to removed any possible physical contamination risk to the food.

- Cake topping cooler: 2 C
- Handwash station supplied with hot/cold running water, soap, and paper towels
- Stand up freezer: -16 C and Master-Blit freezer was -17 C

Back Area
- Walk-in cooler: 2 C
- Three compartment sink; sanitizing solution in dishwashing sink was 200 ppm QUATS
- Garbage bin was covered
- Stand up freezer was -18 C
- Rubber fitting around ice machine lid has been replace
- Ice machine appears to be maintained in sanitary condition.

Storage Room
- Chest freezer: -18 C
- All food appears to be protected - covered and off the ground

Temp logs are being taken twice daily
Pest control device noted through out premise areas
General sanitation satisfactory

***Recommend to place a garbage bin near the handwash station to encourage staff to wipe hands with paper towels after washing their hands.
