Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #EGAU-B8AZUA have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
CARE AND/OR SUPERVISION: 14020 - CCLR s.34(2)(a) - Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed the attendance record and observed that on November 6th and 14th there were three children under the age of two years old. As per Schedule E of the CCLR, there can only be two children under the age of two in care at one time. During the inspection one of the parents was contacted and provided written confirmation that they will change their child's dates of attendance. The licensee will now be providing care to a max of two children under two.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure compliance with age requirements.
