Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed an open-end pipe dripping water into a bucket on a stainless steel workbench. Water splashed out of the bucket as water dripped down from a pipe. Observed foods contaminated with splashed non-potable water. The operator discarded foods contaminated by splashed water. No food preparation is to occur around this area until further notice.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The ambient air temperature of the cooler C3 was measured at 10C. Internal temperature of rice measured at 21-22C and open faced pizza at 9-10C. Cooked ready-to-eat foods in C3 discarded by the operator at this time as per their Food Safety Plan.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Four hot holding units full of cooked, ready-to-eat products are discarded at this time. Mainly lentil curries, cooked rice, etc. Photos of internal temperature were taken at this time. The temperature ranged from 25C to 57C. The temperature was taken with a probe thermometer that was calibrated on May 1, 2023. These foods were prepared on May 4, 2023, at 4:30 AM. The operator discarded foods in the hot holding units per their Food Safety Plan.

Observation: Only one hand washing station available for the kitchen. Observed ~10 staffs in 5 different stations.
Corrective Action(s): Install additional hand washing stations as per the Correction Order issued today. Correct this by: May 5, 2023.

Observation: Major renovation observed. No floor plans were approved by Fraser Health. Main concerns being multiple stations but having only one hand washing sink.
Corrective Action(s): The facility is to submit three copies of physical floor plan to Surrey Health Protection office. Correct this by: 1 week.

Observation: 1. Cooler C3's ambient air temperature measured at 10C.
2. A pipe is dripping water to a food contact surfaces near the prep station.
3. Observed a new low temperature dishwasher on site. 0 ppm sanitizer residue observed on a food contact surface after cycles.
Corrective Action(s): 1. The cooler C3 to be serviced so that it can maintain the internal temperature of foods at or below 4C at all time. Do not store any foods in the cooler C3 until serviced by technician and verified by the district health inspector.
2. Immediately cease food handling operation near the dripping water by the prep station. Service the pipe so that it no longer drips water on to a food handling area. Correct this by: May 5, 2023.
3. The dishwasher to be serviced. The finished cycle must have 50-100 ppm chlorine detected on a food contact surfaces. Correct this by: May 5, 2023.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. The facility already completed their cooking process in the morning. The facility was at their cleaning/minor preparation shift at the time of visit.
A Correction Order was issued at this time. Follow up inspection to be conducted on May 5, 2023.
Closure order will be issued if items in the correction order is not corrected by tomorrow's follow up inspection.
Photo evidences collected showing temperature abuse of cooked ready-to-eat products and new renovation occurred without an approval.
