Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizing solution did not have any residual chlorine. Staff indicated that she makes a new solution when she is ready to clean and that the existing bucket is from yesterday.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to create a new solution (100-200 ppm of residual chlorine) and that it should be made every morning when they open. Should also be changed every two hours. Operator created a new solution at the time of inspection

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Observed rodent droppings throughout facility, especially below shelving units closer to the back door. Underneath the shelving, there were baskets of tools/utensils that seem to be unused for a long time, making it difficult to see and clean. When inquired, operator indicated that pest control is provided by the landlord and visit is made every three months.
Live rodent sited below shelving units by the counter; active pest infestation observed
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to remove all items from the floor. Remove the droppings by wetting them with sanitizing solution, then clean and sanitize the area. Regular cleaning and monitoring is required. Operator must contact pest management immediately, a new contract must be made of at least 1 year.

Observation: Observed back screen door propped open. Operator indicated that the door was opened to let heat out. Education provided that screendoors are for that purpose and should be closed at all times to ensure pests do not enter the premises. Bottom of the door had large enough gap for pests to enter. There was a hole in the wall below blue shelving units by the counter.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to close the door and install a pest proof strip at the bottom of the door. Holes must be closed
