Comments

Premises is an icecream shop that provides various icecream desserts as part of menu.
All hand wash station (front service area, back 3 compartment sink, washroom) had soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
All coolers 4⁰C or less (under counter in front area, domestic refrigerator in the back, inserts above freezer units for cream and scoops)
Freezers less than -18C or less.
No hot holding available at time of inspection. Premises does not hot hold any perishable foods, only sweet non perishable toppings for icecreams (ie. caramel, chocolate..etc)
Good general sanitation. No obvious sign of pest infestation noted at time of inspection.
Back door was closed at time of inspection. Operator has monthly contract with pest control company. Follow all recommendations made by technician.
Ice machine appeared clean with scoop for ice stored outside of the ice in a separate container.
High temperature dishwasher achieved 71C with thermolabel.
3 drain plugs available for 3 compartment sink.
Dipper well for scoops not in use at time of inspection (premises has just opened) but was functional.
Bleach on site. Operator to make 100ppm chlorine sanitizer solution when food preparation/handling begins for the day.
All stored foods appeared protected (ie. stored off the ground, covered..etc)
