A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C; freezers -18C or colder; thermometers present.
- Hand sinks stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle had [Cl2] of 200ppm.
- General sanitation level is good. Ensure to schedule a professional company to have the exhaust canopies cleaned in April 2020, as the service stickers indicate it is due.
- No signs of pests. Abell Pest company contracted to monitor for pests.
- All foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labeled; date coded; food stored in groups with proteins separate from RTE foods; and all foods stored 6" off the floor on shelves, racks or pallets.
- No expired foods in use. FIFO rules being followed.
- The 2-comp sink waste pipe no longer leaks. The owner explained that a new 2-compartment sink will be installed in the coming months.
- Premises is clean and organized. Remove or discard items that do not relate to the running of the businesses (housewares) or excess items (boxes, cardboard, buckets, baking sheets, etc.). Extra/excess items make it more difficult to clean the facility, and provide many areas for pest to breed and live.
