Observation:
Baffles of ventilation canopy have heavy accumulation of grease and debris.
Correction:
Clean baffles of ventilation canopy. Ensure these are cleaned on a regular basis to prevent build up or a fire hazard. To be corrected by August 9, 2022.

Employee does not wash hands properly or at adequate frequency [s. 21(3)]
Observation:
No staff observed to wash hands during the entire inspection. Staff were observed to change tasks regularly, but no proper hand washing was observed.
Correction:
Educate all staff on the importance of frequent and proper hand washing. Post signage on top of each hand sink reminding staff on how to wash their hands properly.

Follow-up Inspection:
Updated floor plan was received via email to the Health Inspector on August 15, 2022.
Operator informed that a staff meeting was held in response to the violations noted during the Routine Inspection, cleanliness and sanitation, and employee hygiene, including proper hand washing.
All hand sinks unobstructed and easily accessible.
No sponges at any of the hand sinks or prep sink.
Container lids stored in a designated rack on shelf near dishwasher.
Baffles of ventilation canopy have been cleaned.
Rice bags are now stored on pallets at least 6 inches (15 cm) off the floor.
General cleanliness of facility excellent at the time of inspection.
