Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
LICENSING: 10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.
Observation: An expired CCFL was posted in one of the program classrooms. LO reviewed this item with the manager at the time of the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure the correct CCFL is posted in a prominent place in the community care facility.

Comments

On the inspection date of February 14, 2023 there were 59 children and 18 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. Actions required by the licensee include a corrective action plan required to be implemented and actions required the LO include no further action required. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. This inspection report was completed on site and a copy was printed at the facility on the same day.
