Some brushes are missing from sides of the loading bay docks. Inadequate lighting at one end of the raw material storage area. Small insects noted inside boxes ( bags of brown powder). Corrective Action(s): Close gaps, install brushes. Ensure that there is a regular maintenance program for the exterior doors. Ensure that there is adequate stock rotation and that old products are culled. Violation Score: 9

Comments

The company is in the process of developing HACCP. Process monitoring procedures have been implemented for the empty bottle inspection, filling, internal cleaning, and pasteurization steps. Checked some of the records. No production today. Pest control is provided. No obvious signs of rodent noted. Modifying the design of the area underneath the exterior silo so that spilled grains can be clean. Ability to keep this area clean will help prevent attracting rodents to the door of the building which is nearby.
