Introduction

All care categories were inspected during an unscheduled routine inspection to assess compliance w/:
• the Community Care & Assisted Living Act
• the Child Care Licensing Regulation
• relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practices

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: *Repeat violation from FIR #EGAU-AAZSUJ (17/Jun/2016), FIR #CGEE-B57Q2T (03/Oct/2018), & FIR #CGEE-C5UM5Y (12/Aug/2021)*
An employee's CRC was valid but addressed to another organization.
Corrective Action(s): The manager explained that she has recently applied to share this employee's CRC w/ the licensee. Until the result arrives, this employee can't work alone w/ children or assist w/ diapering/toileting.

The inspection was reviewed w/ the manager; however, this report & the risk assessment were completed offsite & emailed to the manager.
