Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted on February 3, 2021 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas were inspected for compliance.
A Covid-19 Risk screening assessment was completed with the facility prior to this inspection.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12180 - CCLR s.22(2)(a) - A licensee must ensure that each employee (a) is trained in the implementation of the fire drill system and emergency plan described in subsection (1), including the use of any equipment noted in the fire drill system and emergency plan.
Observation: Upon inspection, the fire extinguisher maintenance was past due.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure any equipment noted in the fire drill system is maintained.

Comments

At the inspection dated February 3, 2021 there were 8 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection 1 contravention was identified.Licensee will provide Licensing with a written response.Licensing will review the response.As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.

Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.
