Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated Sept. 07, 2023 there were 18 children and 2 staff present. The manager was also on-site and assisted with the inspection. At this inspection, no contraventions were identified. This report was reviewed with the facility manager during the inspection. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The following recommendations/discussions were provided: - Continue daily checks of the outdoor play area before children use the space - Certificate renewal and validation procedures - Maintenance and cleaning of outdoor equipment The following resource was provided: - Reportable Incident forms A copy of this report was sent to the facility.
