Introduction

An announced routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance with a focus on health and hygiene practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #MPEE-BKMQ6E have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection:
At the inspection dated Feb-18-2021, there were 5 children in care with the Licensee.
At the inspection, no contraventions were identified.
No further action is required by Licensing or by the Licensee.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.
This report was written off site due to COVID-19 safety practices. The summary items identified in the report were reviewed with the Licensee before Licensing's departure.
A copy of the report and the corresponding Risk Assessment was emailed to the Licensee.
The following items were discussed:
-Communicable disease prevention practices.
-Health/hygiene/sanitizing practices during COVID-19 which included review of cleaning and sanitizing as multiple steps.
-Children's records - legislative requirements.
-Minor wear and tear on one of the walls in the facility.

-Reportable Incident Forms - mailed.
